fa کووید-19 و سرطان پستان نامه به سردبیر Letter to Editor <div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span dir="RTL"><span style="font-family:B Nazanin;">در سال گذشته، همه‌گیری بیماری کووید-19 آثار مخربی بر جنبه‌های جسمی، روحی، اجتماعی و اقتصادی افراد در سراسر جهان داشته است. در اوایل همه‌گیری، اولویت‌های اصلی بهداشت عمومی به سمت تخصیص منابع بهداشتی به این بیماری و پیشگیری از مواجهه کادر درمان و بیماران تغییر یافت. بنابراین، تمام جنبه‌های کنترل سرطان مانند غربالگری، تشخیص، درمان و مراقبت‌های حمایتی تحت تأثیر قرار گرفتند.</span></span><br> <span dir="RTL"><span style="font-family:B Nazanin;">دستورالعمل‌های منتشر شده در طی همه‌گیری کووید-19 بر مدیریت موارد اورژانسی تاکید داشتند که منجر به کاهش ویزیت‌های مرتبط با پیشگیری سرطان شد. به دنبال آن تست‌های غربالگری و پیگیری موارد غیرنرمال و علائم نیز کاهش یافت</span></span><span dir="RTL"><span style="font-family:B Nazanin;">. بر اساس مطالعه انجام شده در آمریکا، تعداد تست‌های غربالگری سرطان پستان و دهانه رحم تا 94% کاهش یافته است و 285000 تست غربالگری سرطان پستان نیز انجام نشده است</span></span><span dir="RTL"><span style="font-family:B Nazanin;">.<br> در زنجیره مدیریت سرطان، تاخیر در هر مرحله می‌تواند تاخیر در پیامدهای مرحله بعدی را به همراه داشته باشد. کاهش اقدامات تشخیص زودرس می‌تواند منجر به عدم تشخیص سرطان یا عود آن شود. مطالعات انجام شده در کشورهای مختلف، نشان دهنده‌ی کاهش میزان تشخیص سرطان پستان از یک سوم در هلند تا 52% در آمریکا هستند</span></span><span dir="RTL"><span style="font-family:B Nazanin;">. لذا عواقبی مثل احتمال بقای پایین‌تر، گزینه‌های درمانی کمتر، درمان‌های تهاجمی‌تر و پیش‌آگهی ضعیف بیماری دور از انتظار نیست</span></span><span dir="RTL"><span style="font-family:B Nazanin;">.</span></span></span></div> <div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;">The COVID-19 pandemic has adversely affected physical, mental, social, and economic aspects of people&rsquo;s lives worldwide over the last year. In the early days of the pandemic, major public health priorities changed toward mobilization of resources for the care of COVID-19 patients and the protection of health workers and patients from exposure to the disease. This significantly influenced all aspects of cancer control strategies including screening, diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care.<br> The cancer guidelines developed during the pandemic insisted on the management of urgent cases, which would naturally result in a decrease in preventive visits, screening tests, follow-up of abnormal test results, and symptom follow-ups. It was estimated that breast and cervix cancer screening tests had decreased by up to 94% and that 285000 breast screening tests had been missed in the United States.<br> In the chain of cancer management, delays in each step can change the outcome of the next step. A reduction in the number of screening tests could result in missing the cancer diagnosis or recurrence. Studies from different countries reflect a reduction in the number of diagnosed breast cancer cases, &nbsp;ranging from one-third in the Netherlands to 52% in the US.
