مقدمه: تندرستی معنوی، یافتن معنی زندگی در هنگام بیماری و حمایت اجتماعی از عواملی هستند که به شدت کیفیت زندگی زنان مبتلا به سرطان پستان را تحت تاثیر قرار داده و باعث دیسترس کمتر، کاهش عود بیماری و افزایش بقاء شده و در تطابق آنها با بیماری نقش بسزایی ایفا می کند. لذا این مطالعه با هدف پیش بینی تندرستی معنوی زنان مبتلا به سرطان پستان بر اساس معنی زندگی و حمایت اجتماعی آنها در استان های آذربایجان غربی و شرقی انجام شد.
روش بررسی: در این مطالعه مقطعی–تحلیلی، بعد از طراحی الگوی مفهومی پژوهش و توضیح روابط نظری فرضی مابین مفاهیم الگوی پژوهش، داده ها با استفاده از ابزارهای معنی زندگی در زنان مبتلا به سرطان پستان، ابزار حمایت اجتماعی شربورن و استوارت و ابزار تندرستی معنوی پالوتزیان و الیسون، با حجم نمونه 215 نفری و با نمونه گیری دردسترس جمع آوری شد. برای تحلیل داده ها نرم افزار SPSS نسخه 16 و از آزمون های آماری ضریب همبستگی پیرسون، رگرسیون چندگانه، و برای بررسی رابطه خطی متغیرهای مختلف مرتبط با تندرستی معنوی از آنالیز واریانس استفاده شد.
یافته ها: آزمون همبستگی تندرستی معنوی با حمایت اجتماعی و معنی زندگی نشان دهنده رابطه بین این متغیرها و همبستگی بین آنها بود.. 34 درصد تغییرات تندرستی معنوی را می توان با معنای زندگی (R2=0.34) و 27 درصد تغییرات را می توان با حمایت اجتماعی (R2=0.27) تبیین کرد. سطح تحصیلات با حمایت اجتماعی (p=0.006) و معنای زندگی (p=0.01) رابطه معنی داری داشت ولی تفاوت معنی داری بین تندرستی معنوی و سطح تحصیلات مشاهده نگردید. بین سایر متغیرهای دموگرافیک و مفاهیم مورد مطالعه ارتباط آماری معنی داری وجود نداشت (p> 0.05).
نتیجه گیری: طبق یافته ها، حمایت اجتماعی خوب از زنان مبتلا به سرطان پستان و کمک به آنها برای یافتن معنای زندگی در بیماری، باعث ارتقای تندرستی معنوی شده و می توان از آنها برای بهبود کیفیت مراقبت های بهداشتی و روانی ارائه شده استفاده کرد. درک ارتباط بین تحصیلات و عوامل روان‌شناختی نیز می‌تواند به بهبود برنامه‌های آموزشی و حمایتی کمک کند.
